The Solution: The Pan-African Project Management Conference

Concept: The Pan-African Project Management Conference is designed as a gathering at which the best internationally recognized project management technologies will be the subject of multiple discussions (information, awareness, training, certification, communication, entering into partnership, sharing thoughts, identifying solutions, advertising, trading, dialogue on alternatives and obtaining agreements and understandings, etc.) for their acquisition and mastery by interested parties of the african continent. These discussions will be between, on one hand, those providing these technologies, i.e. standards bodies, professional organizations, companies and world-renowned experts specialized in project management and, on the other hand, those interested in acquiring and mastering the project management technologies in Africa at regional and continental levels, to sustainably increase the delivery capability and success rate of projects and programmes.

The conference is a platform formulated and organized as a means to facilitate and stimulate the transfer and acquisition of project management technologies in Africa, that is, in each of the 54 member States of the African Union and each of the regional and continental organizations. It is intended that the Conference will be held annually or biennially, for the accumulation of experience and continuous improvement for the satisfaction of all interested parties. The intent is also to accelerate the acquisition of project, program and portfolio management knowledge with delivering high quality content corresponding to the needs and expectations of interested parties.

Mission: The Pan-African Project Management Conference aims to gradually fill, but at an accelerated rate, the technological gap or backwardness of Africa in project management.

Vision: The Pan-African Project Management Conference aims to become a model of technology transfer and acquisition in Africa by 2025.
