The keynote address of Franck Gerard KOM will focus on “the major challenges to be met by professional project institutions in Africa”.
Franck Gerard KOM, is a business manager with over 20+ years of experience in Telecommunications, Oil & Gas, Public Sector and IT Consultancy domains. He is presently General Manager of Enterprise Business at MTN Cameroon, where he is leading the delivery of digital solutions to enterprises and government. He also led the transformation and digitalization of Customer Support channels as Head of Customer Experience & Services within MTN and driving their adoption across several countries. Prior to that, he held several technical functions and led the IT PMO within MTNC, delivering industry-wide programs and projects.
Before MTN, Franck Gerard hold the position of Surface & Business Applications Support at Pecten Cameroon Company (2005 – 2007), Responsible of Production, Finance, HR, HSSE and IT Applications for new projects deployment, rationalization/standardization, database administration, applications customization.
Franck is also passionate about project management, co-founded the PMI Cameroon Chapter, served as Chapter’s president, VP, Chairman of the Advisory Board. He was member of the organizing committee of the first PMI Africa Conference in 2015, was speaker at the PMI Tony Elumelu Foundation event in 2020 (here). He is presently member of PMI Africa Working Group (AWG). He is certified: PMP (Project Management Professional) and PMI-RMP (PMI, Risk Certified Professional).
Born in Yaounde, Franck Gerard is fluent in French and English. He is an Engineer, has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the National Advanced School of Engineering of Yaounde (NASEY), an International Certificate in Corporate Finance, Corporate Finance from Columbia Business School (USA).
